PAIN AS A FUNCTION OF TIME
PAIN AS A FUNCTION OF TIME
The
chronological, psychological and suffering of patient are timed to the cycle of
day, night, month and years. Technically, when pain is experience within a day,
and night, we may say pain is hurt. When such pain is moving into greater
months, we may say that pain is pain. Furthermore, when such pain is moving
into greater years, then we say pain is suffering.
Suffering
can be experienced by development of total difference to what is happening within
time and fear of future time. Time is perhaps the most exacerbation of
suffering- moving pain towards suffering of a patient in chronological, psychological,
and linear.
Hence, I may
conclude that suffering of waiting or endurance time is the sum of chronological
time, psychological time and linear time. Mathematically, it is expressed as;
St=Ct + Pt
+ Lt
Where;
St
= Suffering of waiting
Ct
= Chronological time
Pt
= Psychological time
Lt
= Linear time
